Professional, prepared and versatile

RNIB; Listening Books

Joan has a wonderfully versatile voice which she uses masterfully in characterising the audio books she records with me. She has read many books for Oakhill Publishing and when I cast Joan I know that she will thoroughly prepare the books and enthusiastically narrate it, whether it be an adult fiction or a children’s fairytale. her narration brings the audio books alive

Douglas Kean

Observer

I have just finished listening to your narration of A Man Called Ove. The word narration does no justice to the way you brought the whole story magically alive. Tank you for the laughter and the tears….is there an Oscar equivalent? You well deserve it.

A happy listener to A Man Called Ove

This has been a fabulous audiobook to listen to. I will mention the narrator first though. Joan Walker is a narrator I have only recently come across and I have to say she is brilliant. She has a very soothing voice and I am able to just relax as she tells of poisons that the author has compiled into this book
