Biography
Following a degree in maths and psychology Joan taught maths for 2 years to earn enough money to send herself to drama school. She did a 1 year post graduate diploma at Welsh College of Music and Drama, qualifying in 1984 and starting her acting career immediately as part of the rep at the Dukes Theatre, Lancaster.
Her career includes theatre, television, film, lots of radio drama and poetry, much commercial voiceover work, talking books, narration for galleries and museums, and a world tour of Mamma Mia! Lycra, platform boots and Abba songs for a whole year. Bliss.
